Per the LRH book Science of Survival - Theta is reason and entheta is unreason. The auditor is supposed to raise the pc on the tone scale by converting entheta back to theta.

Ethics is reason. In other words, you are converting out ethics back to in ethics.

The Bridge is - getting in ethics to raise the Being up the tone scale to sanity & freedom.

If the Excalibur solo auditor is not getting himself and the Beings in the composite case to be more ethical, then he won't make it. He is not going up the tone scale or the Bridge.

 

The following LRH tapes tell how to determine whether the case is advancing or stalled:

"Now, so you see, there are various ways of approaching this problem: One would be through better reasoning. Another one would be through a better concept - that is, a new idea. Another one would be through loss of aberrative incidents. And actually, when you don't get all three you aren't getting results.

If you take out an aberrative incident and it immediately produces a better concept of existence and produces at the same time better reasoning capabilities, then you've won. But if you take the incident out without producing the other two, you've not won. And you could theoretically keep processing a person ad infinitum on the wrong incidents and the wrong things and so forth, and his computational level will stay the same and his concept of existence will stay the same. Well, that means you're losing ground and you're just wasting time. You see how this would be?

So there's your test - an interesting, simple test to know. Is this person thinking better? Has his concept of existence changed?"

LRH tape lecture 26 October 1961 Security Checking Auditing Errors:

"That is a test: Is a case advancing? If a case is advancing it develops more withholds; more withholds come into view if a case is advancing. Withholds, then, make a good test of case advance. Gross Auditing error not to keep the withholds off a case while you're running it. It's the one thing that can really stall it down to a walk."

The Church violates the above by having mandatory six-month sec checks, regardless of whether the case is advancing, or stalled.

The freezone violates the above by not handling auditors who have out ethics.
