A thinking process occurs before an action or inaction. The end
result of a thinking process is a conclusion. First you decide to do
or not do something – then you take the action or inaction you
decided on. If you can manipulate a person’s thoughts, you can
manipulate their actions and inactions.
The free theta of any individual thetan, that has not been
converted into entheta, reasons towards survival. Reason is correct
thinking that arrives at correct conclusions that are of optimum
survival benefit across the dynamics. Correct actions then follow
that result in survival on the dynamics. That is ethics.
When a Being does his thinking with entheta, his conclusions and
actions result in destruction across the dynamics. That is unreason
and that is out ethics – an overt.
The theta thought process of any individual thetan is
targeted daily by three things:
1. His own entheta
2. The entheta of Entities (Beings) in the
composite case
3. The entheta of Influencers who practice thought
warfare
All three of those sources of entheta use the same method to
manipulate your thought into reaching a non-survival conclusion that
will lead to non-survival actions and inactions.
The method used is to present “hidden” entheta thoughts into your
thinking process and if they are not accepted, to use some kind of
force or pain to force you to accept them.
Actually, these “hidden” entheta thoughts are quite visible
should you care to open your eyes and see them. The only “hidden”
aspect about them comes from you not looking.
Do not assume that every idea, or data of any kind appearing in
your mind for use in perceiving, posing and resolving problems, is
your thought. Also do not assume that all thoughts you have become
accustomed to owning as “yours”, are necessarily rational, or theta.
Inspect thoughts and perceptions for outpoints and non-survival
intent before using them to form any conclusion from them.
Out Ethics occurs when a Being doesn’t see the outpoints in
entheta thoughts, thus he agrees with them and then forms
conclusions from the entheta thoughts, and then acts.
Contemplate optimum survival and apply the Data Series to
thoughts or perceptions that are presented to be used in your
analytical reasoning.
The following LRH lecture shows how entities in the composite
case target your thought.
LRH lecture 16 April 1952 HCL-21 Anatomy Of The Theta Body
"...entities have been so hammered and pounded and driven by the
compulsive attitude of people who have tried to control us back
through history, that what's their first shift? Each one can do
valence shifts, by the way; they can be this or be that. They're
very good mimics. And so they become people who have tried to
control us and their only method of operation that they know or can
follow, unless they're brought up to a point where they'll think
again, is to force with pain, to force with threat, to force with
aberration, a MEST-force operation on the preclear."
"This entity will make an effort to control your preclear by
imitating the people who have controlled your preclear. That's the
goal. All their compulsion was laid in by people who wanted to
control them. And so their efforts to control will be efforts to
punish. So one of the first things they'll do is try to influence
thought. If that fails, they'll influence emotion; if that fails,
they will turn on somatics and hold them on. Or they will simply
imitate some person who has been able to control the preclear, such
as papa, mama, teachers, something like that. They'll imitate the
mannerisms and activities of this and so control the preclear.
Actually, the recognition of their existence, and that they do
have an identity which is distinct and separate from the people they
are imitating, and the recognition on the part of the theta being
that that entity is there, practically kills their power."

to obtain reason:
HCOPL 26 April 1970R The Anatomy of Thought
"Sanity is the ability to recognize differences, similarities and
identities."
HCOPL 19 May 1970 Sanity
"The "idée fixe" is the bug in sanity.”
“Whenever an observer himself has fixed ideas he tends to look at
them, not at the information.
“A fixed idea is something accepted without personal
inspection…”
“A fixed idea is uninspected. It blocks the existence of any
contrary observation."
HCOPL 11 May 1970 Logic
"These are the basic things which cause one to have an incorrect
idea of a situation.
1. Omit a fact
2. Change sequence of events
3. Drop out
time
4. Add a falsehood
5. Alter importance”
“Any body of data which contains one or more of the above faults
can lead one into illogical conclusions.”
“If any body of data is given the above five tests, it is often
exposed as an invitation to acting illogically."
HCOPL 19 May 1970 Sanity
"The 5 primary illogics or outpoints as we call them are of
course the anatomy of insanity."
HCOPL 19 September 1970 Summary of Outpoints
Section – Omitted Data
“An omitted anything is an outpoint.”
“This can be an omitted person, terminal, object, energy, space,
time, form, sequence or even an omitted scene. Anything that
can be omitted that should be there is an
outpoint.”
“This is the most overlooked outpoint as it isn’t there to
directly attract attention.”
Excerpt from LRH Book 8-8008
“In actuality, insanity can be grouped and classified, detected
and remedied by a study of creation and destruction.”
“Unlimited creation without any destruction would be insane;
unlimited destruction without any creation would be similarly
insane.”
“That individual who can only destroy along any of these dynamics
and cannot or will not create could be said to be aberrated on that
dynamic. He is aberrated to the degree that he would destroy that
dynamic.”
“Looking again at the column of creation [chart in the book], one
finds the individual aberrated anywhere along the dynamics in that
column where the individual will only create and will not
destroy.”
“In the middle ground of the graph, we find that a balance of
creation and destruction is sanity, and in the dynamics below it we
find the individual sane wherever he will create and destroy.”
LRH lecture 4 March 1952 HCL-3 The Axioms and How They Apply
to Auditing
"Now, whenever we think of this static in the physical universe
and we say it has a mission in this physical universe, the one thing
which seems to be demonstrable in all of its activities is survival.
But this survival is an intent. It intends things to survive.
Now, that's important - it intends things to survive - because it
can't do anything else but survive. There is no question
about the survival of theta. It has no time, it has no space. How
can it do anything else but survive? It can't erode or corrode or
blow away."
"Now when we say "survival" we mean the intent of survival and we
mean it for such things as carbon-monoxide motors running at 98.6
(low-heat engines, they are) commonly called bodies. Now, these
very, very solid, common affairs are intended to survive. You intend
for that to survive, because that is one way of manipulating the
physical universe, via the medium of a body."
"Now, the remaining parts of the universe are described in the
dynamics - the eight dynamics - and one right after the other, these
eight dynamics form up the portions or entities or things which you
want to survive. So that every organism natively has an intention of
what we might call "pan-survival" across the eight dynamics."
""Good" is then determined as what determines survival along the
greatest number of dynamics. That's very important, because it gives
you what an optimum solution is. And you can actually sit down and
figure out a problem, and you'll find out that you're counting up
the number who will be benefited by this answer, the number
that will be benefited by that answer, in the time which is
given to you to solve the problem and put it into action. If you do
this, it will tell you what the best solution is."
"Reason, then, is the combination of thoughts into the resolution
of problems relating to the survival of entities in the physical
universe in which you are interested. That's modified to some degree
by viewpoint, but not modified to the extent of declaring war. That
would be very bad because it cuts down the survival of an entire
nation, as well as your own."
"Therefore, you have reason moving in: the greatest good
for the greatest number of dynamics in any solution. And how can you
tell how aberrated a preclear is? It's where is he letting a dynamic
succumb? Where is he letting a dynamic succumb? Because that's bad
reason. And this, by the way, bears out very easily and beautifully.
It's so simple."
Definition from the Scientology Abridged Dictionary -
Case – the way a person responds to the world around him by
reason of his aberrations.
Summary of Key Concepts
Following are some guidelines you can use to assist you in
identifying entheta thoughts:
1. If it is 2.0 or lower on the tone scale, it is most likely
case thoughts.
Thought: I’m afraid to get expelled. (Emotion: Fear) à Conclusion: I will not do anything about the
SPs running the Church.
2. If it is identity thinking, (A=A) it is case thoughts.
Thought: I hate all black dogs because they are the same as the
black dog that bit me 20 years ago. Any black dog in present time =
the black dog of 20 years ago that bit me. (Emotion: Hate) à Conclusion: To kill any black dog because
all black dogs are bad.
That is identity thinking that sees no difference between black
dogs
3. If it is a fixed idea it is case.
I like the color black, I hate the color black. If you get hit by
any force when you think either of the two opposing thoughts, it is
a fixed idea and therefore it is case.
A free mind is not pressured to think one way or the other on any
subject. Notice if there is any pain or pressure or force that hits
you if you go against an idea. You should be able to think the
opposite of any idea, without any penalty for thinking the
opposite.
BUT, bear in mind that in the trickier forms of Psychic Warfare
you are dealing with live beings who can make intelligent
counter-moves to your moves. Those that practice Thought Warfare can
use any fixed idea you have against you, and in the case of the
above data, can choose to provide pressure or force against actually
rational and sane ideas that you have - to trip you up.
4. If the data being observed or thought with contains
outpoints, and you choose to not recognize the outpoints as being
outpoints, you will conclude and act irrationally.
I have an idea that everyone is out to get me. That is an
outpoint called a falsehood.
Accepting that false idea as valid
data will result in insane actions, thus it is case.
5. Fixated on only creating or only destroying on any
dynamic, is case thought.

In addition to the above, out ethics is also accepting and
misowning as yours, entheta psychic warfare thoughts.
Thoughts that begin with the word “you” are almost a guarantee it
came from another Being, either in your composite case or from an
Influencer practicing psychic warfare.
You should pay your taxes. You should drop out of Scientology.
You should, etc. etc.
However, do not get the false fixed idea that “I” thoughts are
surely your own thoughts.
Beings in the composite case can think “I” thoughts and you can
misown them as yours.
And, Influencers practicing psychic warfare can and will transmit
“I” thoughts into your mind as they know you are most likely to fall
for “I” thoughts and misown them as yours.
I should pay my taxes. I should drop out of Scientology. I
should, etc. etc.
Thoughts that begin with the word “I” and thoughts that come
close to aligning with what you already would be thinking and doing,
but are somehow just a little off, are the hardest to spot.
The thought “I should pay my taxes” falls apart when you inspect
it and realize that you don’t owe any taxes this year, so then the
thought becomes unreasonable and therefore is suspicious. And so on
with other “I” thoughts, when you inspect them and find them to be
somehow crazy.
Emotions can also be generated by Beings in your case and by
Influencers practicing psychic warfare. Psychotronics machines can
emanate the wavelength of emotions or emanate wavelengths that
trigger you to produce an emotion. Emotions prompt you into actions.
And these feelings and actions can be unreasonable feelings and
actions for a given situation.
Other perception channels that you tend to accept unconditionally
as valid PT environment data, can also be used - heat, pain,
coldness, tiredness, heartbeat, etc.

The price of freedom is – constant alertness and willingness
to fight back.
In World War III, the war for control of men’s minds, the price
of freedom applies additionally to the universe of thought, not just
in the physical universe.
Realize that should you fail to keep your ethics in by
accepting, concluding and acting on entheta thoughts from any
source, it is not the data’s fault -
HCOPL 31 January 1972 The Why is God
“The inability to observe and find an actual usable Why is
the downfall of beings and activities.”
“The Why is NOT God. It lies with YOU and your ability to be
logical.”
